New Year, New Project now ive got the bench set up again, i want something simple to get me back in the swing of things after nearly 2 months off kit is the Heller 1/24 Mitsubishi Lancer WRC rally car the main problem with these Airfix/Heller kits is that they are not the greatest of quality....once did the Imprezza and ended up buying a second kit and had to mix parts just to make one car, and it still wasnt the greatest.....its also from a time when their decals wernt the greatest either, so i dont know how well this will go together ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

It's not got wings or a prop or a jet engine, what is this site coming too!! 😱 Nice to see a rally car being built on here, it's not as detailed as a Tamiya kit and the white decals tend to be a bit too opaque but looking forward to seeing more. Cheers, Warren Edited by madmonk, Jan 2 2014, 09:01 AM.

currently on the back burner for a while had a bad paint experience on the body shell...........for some reason the primer didnt take as well as i thought. i primed, sprayed white lowers, masked, sprayed the red and when i removed the tape it peeled the paint right off back to the plastic so i decided to strip the paint, try washing the shell again and try a different primer i gave it a long soak in oven cleaner which normally does the trick and it didnt even touch it, even tho i can sratch the paint off with a finger nail! weird................so until i can pick up some brake fluid this one is on hold............but im not going to let it get the best of me lol |
