Happy New Year to you all!

A new year brings new projects and this is one i am enjoying immensely!

Tamiya's 1/20 Tyrrell 1977 P34

This is my first Tamiya f1 experience, as well as tanks and football i have always loved Formula 1.
Although i am not old enough to remember the 'golden era's' as I mainly grew up with Schumi and his winning ways its something I always had a passion for.
Now its my turn to delve into this great range of model kits and share it with you.

im currently building the Tamiya Ferrari F1-89 the decal's arent very good though they keep cracking when they release from there backing, it might be something to keep an eye on incase yours are the same, im not sure how to rectify the problem though :redface

I must go there this year or next! Even through Youtube the cosworth v8 sounds extraordinary let alone in person.
Very envious sir

sweet, be sure to upload it into the gallery when she's done?
I will definitely bear that in mind when I come to do the decals myself cheers Pete.
as for the cracking I would only say make sure everything is extra wet and slippery apart from that I'm not much much help..

This stuff can help with cracking decals. Paint it on over the sheet, it strengthens the whole thing. You have to use a bit more care when cutting them out but it helps a lot.

Thats coming along great!
I always thought the 70s and 80s F1 cars had much more "personality" :)

Great start to a great kit of one of the most iconic F1 cars ever built.

Just out of curiosity is there a reason for painting the main bodywork silver prior to applying the blue?

Cheers,

Warren
