We all know the story of the 'V' Bomber, but not all of you know the story of the 'Gloster Vanquisher'

it all started with the USA, wanting engines and designs for its fighter aircraft, they approached several UK aircraft companies but were turned down, but when they approached Gloster, things changed. Gloster agreed a deal where that they would supply engine data and designs, but in return the USA would give Gloster the plans and designs for several 'cancelled' or untried designs. With this information and new designs the Vanquisher was to become reality
