As Rob said, it may very well have been a spin chute, but I don't have any pictures of a Hawk with one fitted. Below are a couple pics of the tailcone on a Canadian Hawk that visited NAS Kingsville a few years ago. Pretty much looks like a standard "version 4": ![]() ![]() Here's a pic off Airliners.net of a Malaysian HAwk Mk 108. Note the Chaff/Flare/RWR box mounted above a version 4 drag chute equipped tailcone. Lots of variations on the theme. No shortage of configurations to figure out how to model!
