As usual I went to Cockpitfest with a very strict budget, and blew it!

Apart from a pair of part done TSR2s of Mark and an AWACS swapped with Blue2, I bought TCs part done Lanc Dambuster.

An RN Bucc, because Mark got the RAF one!! , but....I was looking at the Airfix Tornado GR1b as it comes with Sea Eagles. Looking in the box, they are the lovely examples from the RAF Bucc, complete sprue in fact, containing ECM pod, Pave Spike, Sidewinder and.....bulged bomb bay :yipee
So I now have my RAF Bucc too

Also got a 1/48 Airfix Canberra B2, Hobbyboss A7 Corsair, Panda F35 (X-35), Academy F-15E, Italeri F-16..... :whistle

Managed to get home early before SWMBO did to hide it all, lol :ninja:
OH THANK GOD! Someone else who has no self control when it comes to buying models!

And, what's more, finds devious ways of getting them past the boss! :cool

The number of times an opportunity presents itself just at the right moment to run to the car, grab my latest purchase and quickly sling it under the stairs, it's untrue.

It feels like your hiding a fugitive. "Hide under the stairs. I'll come for you later and get you up in the loft where it's safer. Shhhh, keep your head down." :rolf

When asked "When did you get that?" do you reply, "This? I've had it years!" knowing it was only bought yesterday but you just had to look at the instruction sheet!

99% of the time I'm ok, as I get home from work before her, and usually at shows I'm fairly restrained, so can get away with it, but this weekend I got 11 or 12 kits, all very large, so there was no way I was going to get them in thee house unnoticed. Being Fathers day tho, I was lucky as she decided to go see her dad for a few hours. :cool

My answer to not overspending at shows is to have just so much cash, usually around £100, and call it a day when its gone but..................there's that little thing called plastic :wicked which suddenly pops it's smilie face from my wallet and plans go completely haywire.

OK, I've gone and ordered Kinetic's new 1/48th Sea Harrier and Great Wall's retooled 1/48th F-15B/D. Good prices and an 11% discount also and all for around £60.
