Ah the agony of choice,

My decals for my mig-17 GB entrant have turned up today and theres 4 on them that I like. I have got another kit to do so thats not a problem. I think I will go for the blue/grey camo one as its the most different out of all them.

The eduard Zoom set came with the decals so Im pretty much sorted for the GB. Now all Ive got to do is get the SUFA out the way.

I have both of these part built on my desk (shoved to the back). I have plans to one day finissh them and mount them on a frame just in front of a picture of the Moon's surface.

Nice little kits....

This afternoon, my fathers day present from the kids arrived:

To go with 9 1:72 Spitfire Mk1a’s I got for 99p each in a local shop I found this set of 4 markings from Eagle decals. Hardly varied but at least they won’t be all D*WK.

Top banana,

That stuff is the closest to the right colour Ive found. I know its been pointed out that no end of shade were used but this one seems to be one of the common ones used.

I have seen lighter, bluer, greener etc used but this one is a good inbetweener

Does anything need to be done to it before airbrushing? Thinned? If so with what?

It brushes well also but needs to go over a primer coat and I now use the thinnest Mr Surfacer I can get otherwise the paint just rubs off and is prone to knocks.

Re the interior colour I read somewhere that different components which are made elsewhere can have a variation in shade.
