Well, I went to Telford with a very limited budget, thinking that I wouldn't really enjoy myself because of it, but I found that it made me focus on what I really wanted, so I came away with an assortment of kits, some paint and some sanding sticks.I had intended to rectify the lack of American WW2 fighter aircraft in my collection The kitswap produced a Hellcat from Academy, and a Revell P-47D. Various traders then sold me a HobbyBoss Airacobra and Wildcat, Revell Fokker Dr.1, a SMER Fieseler Storch, a Novo Westland Lysander, and a Heller Fouga Magister (in a special edition with Irish Air Corps decals!) Total spent £45! I realised that if I'd had 2x or 3x the money, I wouldn't have had 2x or 3x as much enjoyment . . . If I'd had more money, I'd have bought a P-38 Lightning, a spray booth at £65, a FROG or Novo Whitley (£30 Frog boxed, £20 Novo unboxed, no decals . . .) and a Shackleton (Revell £30) Mostly going back to my 1/72 WW2 modelling roots . . . And I like Fouga Magisters, and the Fokker triplane?- That's just to complete my collection of little Fokkers! . . . |

I saw a few that I'd wished I'd picked up on the first run round. Italeri Storch for one. I passed on the 4 engine Revellagawa Arado 234 as I am just finishing one. Again, wish I had now as it was only £14. |

My `about to become unemployed` present to myself arrived yesterday...... ![]() ... and yes, I did manage to sneak it past the missus. Her new iPad arrived at the same time and was the perfect diversion...

Stop it, stop it, stop it. I'm intensely jealous as nothing must pass my doorstep until the New Year. |

My 2 lots of mig-21 overtree 'small parts' turned up so now I can make the most of the 3 kit options in the 'silver arrows' kit from Eduard. Oh and my free PE bat as well

now you just have to build all your kits, so... shaun builds what 2 or 3 a year and about what 200 in the stash, so shaun will be what 500 years old when he's finished? |

He'll NEVER reach the end, he doesn't stop buying. Much like me and I'm older than him. |
