Well got an Airfix Battle today and Devastator for a whif build as I heard the Battle was a little on the nasty side, so I have a plan. BTW does anyone know where I can get hold of some Dymo tape? I'm thinking Ruddocks, but it may be pricey, any ideas chaps?

P.S. I walked in brazenly with my kits, head held high and a spring in my step...she was out with the mother in law.

I've been suffering all sorts of problems and setbacks with my modelling for the last few months. I've got part made models all over the place and some of them just got thrown out in frustration.

I wondered if perhaps my general "oldness" was making 1/72 a little too small. So on Sunday, my wife (bless her) got me a 1/48 Airfix Spitfire. Made a start on it yesteday and finding it a lot easier. :cool

I think I'm back in business.

Spent £9 at Brunty on Sunday on these two kits. My 74 Sqn OCD got the better of me and I got the Spit for £6, while the Canberra kit speaks for itself. While all the plastic seems to be there, I just hope that the bit cut out of the destructions isn`t hiding an important bit of info crucial to the build....

I whent over to the 48th side about 20 years ago and I never looked back.

Tc, dont worry if there is something missing as I have 3 of those canberras so if you need a copy then no worries :cool

But as a mind put at rest'er here is what is on that part. It looks like they have removed the 'missing parts' box (thats not a good sign dude)

Welcome to the dark side :empire

I've been on 1/48 mainly for quite a while. Only do smaller if it's a) not available in 1/48 (or not available for a reasonable price!) and B) if its for a Whif that I have no idea if it'll turn out as planned....

and c) if it's the new Airfix Gnat. However, it's general smallness and fiddlyness has lead me to complain to Airfix on FB that a 1/48 one is required!!!

I took delivery of my Airfix 1/48 Sea Lynx today, ordered of course from the ever reliable, & all round good egg, Shaun.

OMG!!!! What a kit!!! :gob :o :party

I will get some sprue shots up in the next couple of days, but it is beautiful :cool :cool :cool

If you dont do Helo's, treat yourself to just one, THIS ONE!!!!

I would like to get it build for the cockpitfest, but I genuinely do not think I will manage it. There is some much detail in this kit, it does not deserve to be rushed.

Lastly...

WELL DONE AIRFIX!!! :uk
