This is my 1st attempt at the Academy F/A-18C, watch the rear undercarriage Shaun, the white metal parts in the kit WILL bend over time under the weight of the kit. Try propping her up on a base so it doesn't rest on the legs.

Adam

Sorry Adam, I was on the works PC when I replied so couldn't see the picture due to the fun filters.

That is a nice looking Hornet, Im not a fan of the grey hence the reason Ive gone for the twobobs Casper and his ghosts decals because they are white or green and white which is what Ive gone for. Ive got the set in 1/48 as well so I will have a practice with a hobbyboss and hasegawa kits first

It's fairly well sized, and remember it's a 60s kit so it doesn't have as much detail as you'd think.

For me I think its just all those aerials that make me think it may be fiddly

I've put together a 1/144 version of it once already. I reckon this will be easier on the fingers!

After a fairly crap week I decided that while visiting my daughter at Uni a trip to the local Modelzone might help cheer me up a bit.

Ended up with 2 Airfix Hawks (That I'm totally blaming Mark for  ) and a couple of Italeri Spitfire VII.

Was a bloody good two and half hours in the warehouse. Still cannot believe that:

They had nothing that I went for
And
That I spent nearly twice as much as you!

My purchases were

Airfix coyote
Kit world black widow decals
Resin seats and etch for the typhoon, canopy mask too
Various alclad lacquers

Also had the customary KFC boneless delux meal with ATB on the way home!

For the first time in ages I bought a kit... a Revell Lancaster BI/III. Planning a cut way with loads of interior detail once the Spit is finished.

not a kit but a book

was being dragged round endless shops by 'er indoors today, went in one (dont even ask me the name of the shop, no idea! ) when i spotted a shelf of books with a big 'sale' sign above it.....had a look through and found this book on the harrier.....reduced from £12.99 to £4.99 to £2.00!!!!....didnt really want another book but you cant turn it down for 2 quid, can you?
