Just got back from the excellent Milton Keynes Modelkraft.

Within the 1st minute of browsing I picked up another beautiful Eduard Mk.IX Spitfire and an Airfix Hawker Typhoon Ib.

Then spotted the Eduard/Kinetic Top Gun Falcons kit and could not resist ;-)

1st time I've not actually bought anything from MDC too.

No kits came away with me from ModelKraft yesterday, but I have a very impressive collection of sanding sticks, as another half-dozen were purchased from Little Cars.

Ive just took the plunge with some russian Akan paint for all my russian stuff.

They are supposed to have been matched to the real things so we shall see. All the instructions are in Russian so its a good job a mate of mine speaks perfect Russian.

I bought their set for the Yak-38 but haven't got around to building it yet, but a club mate has used them on his and he says they are excellent.

Do you ever get clobbered for VAT and handling when ordering from outside the E.U. ?

(I did on a kit that was sent from the U.S. as a gift!)

With Lucky you can set up your profile and ask for a low value invoice inside the package and the customs sticker outside then reflects this. I have used them for years now and have never paid any charges on packages from them.

Not all outside 'E.U' dealers won't do this but some will if you ask them and the Chinese don't seem to care. Our PO won't accept the 'Gift' label any more.
