I just picked up an xtradecal set for the forthcoming airfix 1/48 javelin. I bought X48-125 As it contains a waterbeach bird. I live down the road from the old airbase/army barracks which is soon to be a new town. |

Del, It's very hit and miss at the moment with HMRC, I buy most of my SW kits from HLJ, most recently I placed two orders, one came through no problem, the other had a £3 VAT bill and £8 Royal Mail handling charge. You pay VAT on anything over £15 when bought from outside the EU. Most of the Japanese internet sites will only declare the actual value. You need to consider this when ordering from Japan, for me it is still cheaper than buying over here, if you can find the kits! Cheers, Warren |

Thanks Warren for the info, I get most of my kits from Lucky Model in Hong Kong and they are VERY helpful. The odd few I get in the UK are mainly Airfix & Revell and only use dealers who knock at least 10% off or offer free postage and of course anything going cheap at shows Etc. |

Airshowish orientated, Ive just bout a small BBQ for our camping trip as Im sick of the throw away ones. To me it seems like a hell of a lot of metal to bin Im far from an eco-warrior I just hate seeing all that metal go to waste (literally) |

Just got a F86 for the Korea GB and a Junkers 88 for the hell of it. While not an actual purchase I had an interesting find this week. Last year I got a Revell 1/48 Mosquito with my birthday money. I'm off work this week to try and get the old house as empty as possible and I found two Airfix ones in the spare room. |

At the risk of bursting your balloon of joy and happiness, sell them all and buy one Tamiya Mossy. Si. |
