Klingon D-7.

I'm in the process of developing a lighting kit for the D7, code is written, just need to down load it to a microprocessor chip and test it.

If your interested it will scroll through the different flight modes from impulse thru to warp.

Should be ready in about 2 weeks or so.

Cheers,

Warren

Went to Hemswell airfield today, a former bomber base about 15 miles from Lincoln, for the car boot sale. Picked up an Italeri 72 B58 Hustler, & also won a tanker trailer on e bay for the truck kit I'm building.

I also picked a 1970 flying helmet, with the name Sqn Ldr Tweddle inside, complete with visor, & visor protector, for the princely sum of 3 quid!!! :o :cool

Well, I finally did it

I treated myself to a second hand Canon EOS 1D IIN. I know its an older one but its in immaculate condition and a bargain price.

I bought it from a reputable canon dealer/specialist so Im hoping it will have no real problems.

All the reviews say this is the one the sports/nature people use so should be perfect for spotting.

Ive always wanted an EOS1 ever since I started out spotting properly using a film camera. I could only ever afford an EOS 100 which did me superbly and I still have it.

I then moved onto my EOS 30D which again was second hand and apart from the shite on the sensor which is now gone is a good'n. I bought the 500D brand new but always found it lacking but still did a good job whilst the 30D was out of action.

My 500D will now go to my Uncle who has always wanted a decent DSLR as his bridge camera wasnt up to what he wanted. The 30D will now be my spare to the EOS1D.

I was going to part ex the 2 but figured I got this for such a good price I would keep them and use/part with them accordingly.

Sorry to waffle but Im a tad excited :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Nice one, Shaun.
Great camera.

I used to be a Canon shooter back in the film days. (EOS10).
Now I'm strictly Nikon (D7000)

I hope some day to get my hands on the Nikon equivalent to yours. :D

Enjoy your new purchase.

Calm down dear, it's only a ruddy camera and not a new tool 1/48th Su-22.

So we can now expect lots of real aeroplane photos then, yes?

Ive now just picked up a new military aircraft serials listings book.

Ive decided now my shift is changing and I will have more time at home I will start spotting properly again. I used to enjoy it but with my current shift I spent my time either working or sleeping.

I prefer This book as apposed to some others as it is more comprehensive and my last one comes with a nice clear jacket so it dosn't get all buggered up.

Thanks to my brother calling in at Home Bargains whilst on his Scotland run this week, I now have the Revell 1/144 RAF/Qatar C-17A Globemaster III in my stash.
