Picked up a book at the weekend from the Spalding model show, full of colour photos of RAF aircraft from WW2, for the bargain sum of £2.50.

Lots of pics of Spitfire wheel wells Mark. Most desert aircraft seem to be Azure blue.....

Looks like a simple enough kit and good enough for my rendition of a middle east Tiger.

I`ll do a sprue review in due course.

Came from the States Del and it cost me a pretty penny as well.

Also got the F.8 version coming from the same location for pretty much the same price. Thats nearly 200 nicker I won`t see again. Just hope I don`t cock em up.

As previously mentioned, my F.8 came today thus completing my search for the Holy Grail of 1/48 Meteors.

Just the F.3 to go which should bring my spend tally on this little lot to just under £260.... :dead

I've read many good things about these little guys, so today I gave in and bought a box.

Posted Image

Five of them in a box and £30 cheaper than the 'official' Battlefront ones. I knew there were a load of options in there but I didn't expect the sprue to be this impressive.

I also got a bottle of woodgrain glaze. With my growing interest in WW1 aircraft I thought it might be useful.

I gave it a trial run on the inside of the Fokker Triplane I've just started. The paint was modelair wood then the glaze over the top.

It looks pretty good...of course it won't show once I put the fuselage together but never mind. :D

While I was in the shop getting the stuff in the post above I got some other random Vallejo paints. On the paint rack was some stuff called Plastic Putty.

I tried it this morning, it's in a standard Vallejo bottle, easy to place where you want it and it is awesome. Smooths down really nice and easy to sand down in a few minutes. I like the Games Workshop Liquid green stuff and only got this stuff because I was too lazy to go the shop next door that does Games Workshop stuff. Best bit of lazy I ever did. :D
