Figured I see what all the fuss about Spitfires was about: :empire

Got these two today in my LMS.

Don't really understand Airfix logic to charge £5.99 for the new tool Mk1 and £7.99 for the 1974 tooled Mk5.
I know the Mk5 is a series 2( or 3) and you get two decal options. But is that second decal option really worth £2?

Anyway, I haven't built a 1/72 Spitfire in about 30 years. So this should go some way to putting that to rights.

Beowulf I have that book, I would say a lot of artistic licence has been used :)
I really need to get down there too see the Tiger. Its frustrating how many times I have passed when working.

I'd like to see it out in the arena, sadly each time I've been down there it's broken.

Ben I'll have a borrow of that book if I may...?
Got a Matchbox JU188 and a Veeday Models DH.89 Rapide inbound. Both are unstarted kits, surprisingly given my recent penchant for restoring old builds...

He tried to palm the Hudson off onto me! I evaded neatly.
Got an Academy 1/48 Hunter on it's way, and also acquired this free, gratis and for nothing:

An unspectacular old print of a Lightning you might think. And you'd be right, apart from the fact that it's a limited edition print signed by the artist, as well as Jimmy Dell and Roly Beamont :)
