Well I thought I would bung my current project up on here. My main hobby is aircraft, but as has been pointed out by Bob (sorry Andy  ) I have been know to dable in 35th scale AFV gubbins. I like to do them to get all the weathering out of my system  this is the mountain of parts I have to wade through, but unlike other dragon kits ive made all the parts are on one sprue (eg gun parts on A, chassis on D etc etc) ![]() This is what is should look like when its done ![]() This is as far as I can do on the chassis ![]() Gun platform ![]() Then I couldnt do any more to that without spraying it so I started on the gun ![]() And the carriage ![]() Guess what, I cant do any more until my regulator turns up so I started the engine

Cheers Daz, I made the tamiya 35th scale AA gun about 20 years ago and it wasnt half as complicated as this one  But I do enjoy a chalenge :D these are all a warm up for when I get round to treating myself to either a 35th scale leopold rail gun or the Karl gerat morser  |

I've got two Leopold's and a few Karl's to build in 1/72, and they're big enough. I can only imagine how big they are in 1/35th. :o |

I had the chance to pick up the dragon 35th scale leopold at telford last year for £59 but I decided against it AAAAHHHHHHH. The cheapest Ive seen it since it £90 :( Ah well  Thankfully Daz Ive got a fairly large mantle piece so all I will have to do is buy a big enough case for it. But Ive got one or two more projects to get through before I take the plunge ;) |

Well, as I broke the pipe that joined the regulator to the compressor whilst trying to fit the new regulator, I have now ordered a new pipe from everything airbrush.com. So to pass the time whilst not at work Ive been doing a bit more AFVing. This gun carriage is only resting on its mount whilst the mounts glue in place. ![]() The brass on this kit is quite thick which is good as it makes the structure a bit more substantial. ![]() The shields are now on the gun (they were an absolute ba****d to fit). They are only held on by a small triangular mount and a brace. So if you fancy doing this kit I can recommend it but please allow time for this process and dont get to angry with it. ![]() Here you can see the brace that hold the shields on. ![]() ![]() My compressor bits should be here on monday so I will be able to start spraying a few bits and pieces. |

Not a lot to report at the moment. My regulator turned up but sadly the hosing that attaches it to the compressor was also broken. So I have now had to order a few more parts, but £15 is better than £100 for a new compressor. I have in the mean time started to glue the magic tracks together. These are normally a pain in the proverbial but these ones for this kit arnt too bad. They have even been designed so they pivot which will make installing them much easier. The cab has also been started on and various bits have been brushed and washed like spades, picks, axes and gubbins. Hopefully I will be back on this with some pics shortly |
