Ive just had two of a possible 4 ospreys come over Ely to the hall. they are on H/S 2 & 3 Callsigns Reach 1037 flight. |

Over on UKAR they're saying that they're V-22B's over here on a feasibility study to see if they can replace the MH-60's. |

Apparently they'd need new dispersals and facilities built at Mildenhall to have them there. It'd make things a tad more interesting up there, at least. I did think about going up there tonight to see them, but figured it'd be a) ridiculously busy in the spotting locations and B) i'd only be looking at a few shots of anti-collision lights for my trouble. |

There are also some SJ F-15E's in at the heath All E's 87-0176, 87-0206, 88-1669, 88-1700, 88-1706, 89-0489, 89-0493, 89-0495,all coded SJ. |

No-one ever seems to know why the SJ Eagles are where they are. They're called the "Worldwide Aerospace Expeditionary Force" and seem to end up all over the place - they operate out of "undisclosed locations" apparently. |

Simon - the SJs were here because their tanker to take them on to Keflavic broke, and so they were stuck here for a while. Think there was also a temporary grounding after the LN F-15E crash in Libya, so they got caught up in that, which prolonged their stay? |
