well she arrived this morning thanks to RAM Models![]() as we all know this is a re pop of the classic aircraft kit, but WOW its a good one, the kit looks a good moulding by modern standards so on to the Kit THE BOX - a nice new red topped box (which is in the tray style!) with 3 flying hours ![]() the instructions follow there normal format giving paint call outs in humbrol, the instructions include the 3 COLOUR plans for markings ![]() English Electric Lightning F.2A. No.92 Squadron, Royal Air Force Germany, 1972 ![]() English Electric Lightning F.6 No.11 Squadron, Royal Air Force Binbrook, 1978 ![]() English Electric Lightning F.6 No.5 Squadron, Royal Air Force Binbrook, 1987 ![]() then there is the decal sheet, in good register and looks fantastic, not to thick ![]() there are 4 grey sprue's of plastic with very little flash considering its age ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() the detailed recessed panels are good ![]() and lastly a clear sprue ![]() IN CONCLUSION i cant wait to build this kit, the decals are magnificent, considering there weren't many bright schemes for the f6 / F2a airfix have chose well, so lets hope they re release the F1/F1a/F2/F3 kit soon |

Although I want one or two I cant help but think Im going to have to visit Neomega for a new tub as they are pretty basic on these. Apart from that, for an old'ish mould they still look quite nice. Thanks for the review Mark as it reminded me I was supposed to pick these up  So much for my kit ban (after my post crimbo blow out) :( |

Same here. I've got one in the stash which I intend to do for my dad as a 74sqn example, as we were in Singapore with them in the late 60's/early 70's. Also it'll mean getting some Alclad and trying that out |

Even though I had a few doubts about this kit I took the plunge and picked up a couple. I needn't have worried as the mould is very crisp with nice panel lines. I have ordered two aires resin tubs for them but other than that Im looking forward to doing them. I really like the blue scheme on the box top as well as the cammo so I will probably do one of each :D Im just glad I waited for a re release as I wouldnt have paid the £40-70 price tag on evilbay for them. £29 is much better :D |
