Well, I fancy another one! I enjoyed my first 1/144 build so much that I fancy doing another . . .

What's that, Mark? A reason?

1. I enjoyed my first, I want to do another 1/144 straight away!
2. Never built a F-117A before, so now's as good a time as any!

Let's get this funny-looking thing built!

Revell's cockpit is impressive given the scale. I didn't expect a 3-part bang seat:

Add in the tub, stick, IP, 3 decals and a lick o' paint, you get this:

And then, you assemble the 9 pieces of the main airframe, and this:

is the result.

There will now follow a short intermission while I obtain some paint, some Revell No.9
acrylic, Anthracite, which is an off-black that no-one else has an equivalent to. Humbrol
will tell you that 32 Dark Grey is their equivalent, but that's nowhere near dark enough . . .

Thanks, Mark, I never knew Tamiya had an equivalent, but since I can get Tamiya paint
more easily than Revell, I'll go with the 2-star T!

Well, the benefits of 1/144 just keep on coming! The F-117A is finished already!

Due to the small size and quick-drying acrylic paint, she's been gloss-coated, decalled
and matt-coated in one evening! She even sits on her wheels without noseweight!

More pics in the gallery!
