im really getting to have a problem i display my models mainly in the living room, and me and me only dust them, when my skils were poor i had no issue removing a build model to be replaced by a better one, but now i have so many good built models that i dont want to part with, and im running out of space for example this is my display area ![]() as you can see its full, i have the spitfires around my den ive thought of ebaying a few built ones but i dont want to part with them, and before you say it yes i think the only option is the loft what do you do? |

I am now in the same position, but with less space. I currently have my set up in the dining room, whcih is also used for other things. My hope is that next year i can get a large, thinking 18x12 feet, hobby room built in the back garden and that size is largely to display what i have and what i hope to build in the coming years. Its a sticky problem. |

It's a common problem. At the moment I have a custom built display case 6ft6" wide, floor to ceiling with storage at the top and the bottom. When we move shortly I will have Dad's old display cabinet which is only 5ft wide. Not sure how I'm going to get them all in (assuming they all survive the move). I'm thinking I might end up having to build another one beside it. |

I have 2 Ikea cabinets too but only in my modelling room and been told that that is all I can have. The Ferrari 312T4 is the only one on display anywhere else in the house, I may be able to sneak a couple more in the same room at some point. Additional space isn't an issue at the moment as I seem to be starting more than I finish. Cheers, Warren |

When I was in the RAF and married to the witch I had my Star Trek ships on display downstairs on top of the cabinet in the dining room, along with a couple of shelves near the computer for some cars (I wasn't building planes at the time) When I seperated, what I had all migrated down. Now I have my own room I keep it all up there. I have 4 old wardrobe doors (only 2 up at the moment tho) which have been stripped, filled and painted and mounted on the wall. These are big and wide enought for pretty much anything, but are getting full already. Come summer I must get the other 2 up. On top of that I have a few other shelves and I plan to get at least ont Ikea display cabinet. I'd love a proper built in display case but that won't be happening for quite some time now... |

Not allowed downstairs so have a smallish built in cabinet in main bedroom and also a unit top in my computer room. Once cabinet is full I get hard and just dump those of not much interest, nothing in loft only unmade stash. I also have 2 boxes of made kits (around 12 - 14) for our club display with a mate who looks after them. |

Ive got a huge 3ft x3ft x5ft purpose built cabinet that my uncle built for all my big stuff in the small bedroom. Ive also got 2 3ft x 2ft x 7ft cabinets in the living room and for my best and smallest kits Ive got a 2ft x 2ft x7ft cabinet in the bedroom. Now we have got shot of our fishtanks I have room for 2 more bigish cabinets. |

I'm only allowed furniture in keeping with the rest of the room so I have 3 shelves of a 5 shelf glass unit in the living room, a small corner unit in the spare bedroom and a couple of glass shelving units in the conservatory. Since I model quite slowly I can usually find an old model to box away or Ebay when I need space for new builds. Si. |
