Some progress from today, As always Im starting with the cockpit. Thankfully, even though this is a huge kit there is less than half the amount of styrene than there is in the SU-25. So I haven't got as much crap on the bench  Im using the Eduard big ed set. ![]() 002-6 by sabre aviation photos, on Flickr ![]() 001-6 by sabre aviation photos, on Flickr I will be leaving all the pre painted stuff until the cockpit has been painted (for obvious reasons) I will plod on with more today as this is all done with CA glue so I just doing all the bits that need doing before any major construction can begin. |

More progress from yesterday/this morning![]() 002-7 by sabre aviation photos, on Flickr ![]() 005-2 by sabre aviation photos, on Flickr Now for the bad parts of this kit. For some reason Revell have decided to have the injector mark right in the cockpit. On pretty much any other kit this wouldn't be seen and I wouldn't worry but they are in the cockpit under all that clear. Anyway, some filler later and they will be sorted. ![]() 003-5 by sabre aviation photos, on Flickr Once you get the cockpit done there really isnt much else to this kit and its even worse as Im not putting in the bombay as this was removed in the Zwilling for weight purposes. I think I can feel the lead wire box calling me to see if I can add any hoses/wires. |

The cockpit is coming together quite nicely but I will have to say that the parts are all over the place on the sprues. there is no system to the numbering and youve got cockpit parts with undercarriage bits. The instructions don't help as theres so much crammed into each step its a bit hard to follow. Any way, heres some more progress ![]() 001-8 by sabre aviation photos, on Flickr Ive started to put the inner bulkheads in so I will be able to start spraying the inner's. ![]() 002-9 by sabre aviation photos, on Flickr ![]() 003-7 by sabre aviation photos, on Flickr The instrument panel is also getting some PE ![]() 004-6 by sabre aviation photos, on Flickr |
