A question for ebay/paypal users. I have sold some kits on ebay, I have 4 buyers telling me the payments are waiting to be claimed. I have never come across this before and don't know how to do it. I have looked on ebay and paypal FAQ's with no help there at all. Any idea's guys ? |

All my buyers are in the UK. the only thing I have found is that if I am being paid in a different currency to sterling then I accept or refuse payment in the actions column. I have the parcels all ready to go, I'm just waiting for the payments to clear. But my ebay says "payment initiated through paypal on date .....". Nothing on ebay or paypal about claiming it. I have asked the buyers if they know anything about it but none have replied. |

I use Paypal, & it notifies me when the payment has been made. Have they payed by e cheque, that takes as long as a normal cheque to clear.

Your settings in Paypal may need to be modified. Some forms of payments are different - for example the difference between debit and credit cards. Your settings may permit payment from one source but not another. Go into Paypal and look at the specific transactions - there may well be a link which says 'Accept this payment' or similar. Click on it and that should sort it, or give you a prompt which advises what further action you may need to take to get the payment sorted. Very loosely it's like someone knocking at the door, you still need to open it, and there's just a glitch preventing it from happening automatically. You may also have inadvertently found a way of not accepting payments from 'non-confirmed' Paypal accounts (Is your own account 'confirmed'?). 'Confirmation' is simply a form of linking your paypal account with a known set postal address - it's to help them fall within money laundering rules. Taking payment from a non-confirmed account can occasionally cause delays. Also if your own account is non-confirmed, it greatly limits the amount of money you can take from Ebay in a set period of months. |

Sussed it. Seems like I'm a baffoon, I have misspelled my email address of at least one of my listings. So I am assuming the others will be the same. Thanks to all for your idea's suggestions. |
