Can any of you raf types help me with this. did jaguars fly with a centre line fuel tanks while bombed up, i've only seen them with underwing tanks in any of the photos I have seen, tks in anticipation of an expert reply, :lol: |

paul aka devilfish is prob the best one to answer this but... i have never seen one with only 1 tank, most had the 2 and had a recce pod on the center line this site is good http://sepecat.info/b/ |

i'm building the heller version gr1/3, I see on the boxart on the kittyhawk kit that they show centreline tanks, I have to agree with you tho, I have never seen a photo of one with 1 tank either, thanks for the reply, :D |

I've seen early photos and film of them with just centreline tanks, but as far as I know for most of their life, standard fit was underwing tanks. TBH, I have never seen a Jag in the metal with just one tank. |

Thanks all but I am doing it green and grey 54 sqn, so I take it only gulf jets had centreline, just have to leave underneath empty, cheers all help much appreciated. :lol: |

I can't garantee that, but as I said, I've never seen one in peacetime guise carrying just one tank. Obviously in wartime and on live fire exercise, the wing stations would be needed for weapons, to maximise the effectiveness of each aircraft. Remember, generally, especially in later years, aircraft in peacetime don't carry weapons.... |
