Interesting comments about the Broadmarsh branch. A friend of mine went in last week and said it was looking decidely bare. Starting to add up, but again as they're ripping the guts out of the broadmarsh soon could mean nothing. What of the Donny branch? Pretty dire last I heard. |

I thought you had a statutory right to a refund if an item is sub standard or faulty? |

Statutory rights only apply when something is faulty. If you buy something and then want to return it, unless it's faulty, there is no legal right to expect a return or refund. The stores regulate their own returns policies and only do this because they would get a bad consumer reputation. But they would be entitled to say "no" if you requested a return. However, if you purchase something which turns out to be faulty, then the law and the Sale of Goods Act comes into play. At that point, you are legally entitled to return it and expect exchange/refund. And that even counts for underwear. EDIT: Additional note - "faulty" can mean: - of unsatisfactory quality - not as described - not fit for purpose - not able to last a reasonable length of time. Not sure how that applies to gift vouchers. Perhaps "not as described". |

Was in the Trafford Centre shop (which is in brand spanking new premises) earlier on today, a lot of the hornby stuff had been thrown all over the floor near the back of the shop and some of the Academy kits i bought in april had gone up in price, the staff said they had no idea what was happening with there store although they'd been told by some on high up that there was a potential buyer looking into purchasing the group, They also thought they were really good value and not over priced so couldnt understand how they'd gone into administration which was quite surprising, i thought...... maybe they'd never heard of the internet Pete |

Popped into the Peterborough store this lunch time, just me and the three assistants. They all took it in turns to ask me if I needed any help. No sale items and the Academy Blue Angel kit I bought about a month ago for £5.99 is now £19.99!! Cheers, Warren |

Same here. I went into teh Brunm store and all teh sale stuff they had last week is now at full price and there wasn't a reduced price ticket to be seen on anything, except the one item I bought. However, taking my two purchases to the till I did get £3.00 off the price of a full priced item! I was told that the sale stuff will be coming through soon, but the staff aren't sure when or what. |

Haven`t ventured to to the `Flagship` London store yet and probably won`t until the next sale hits. It`s a shame really as walking into a store can be more fun than surfing the net, but as we all know, on the net you can get things cheaper. (Apart from rattle cans...., much cheaper from MZ) |

It did and then relocated about 200 yards further up the road. It now means I have a 10 minute walk from the office instead of 5.... :D |
