I wouldn't worry, 10-30% is bugger all as they have probably put the prices up previous so this will make them the same as they were originally  |

That would be a 'Vierling' and nobody has room for a 1/32nd version of that unless they have a runway to display it on so how about building a second Zwilling in different marks.

Administrators have started consultations with shop staff as they start to shut down all the stores over the next 6 weeks. Sad, sad news. Warren |

The Doncaster store closes this Saturday (10th), they don't expect any big closing discounts as other stores are open for a bit longer so stock will be transferred. On a happier note talking to a couple of the guys in there when I said I didn't know where I would now go to for my plastic fix they said to wait a month then take a walk past the store. It's still early days but I hope it works out for them as I've been using the story in its various guises and locations over the last 20 years. Cheers, Warren |

If Donny's going, that means Hull should survive a tad longer. From talking to the guys in the Hull branch t'other day it was likely to be between Hull and Donny as to which store stayed trading till last in our area. Sad times... |

I was in Deansgate Models (sorry, MZ Manchester!) on Monday and the guy behind the counter was saying that there had been a model shop in those premises since 1951, and that MZ closing wouldn't be the end of that, and that customers should be patient . . . Will they be back, after a suitable period of mourning ? |

£11 million is the total debt owed by Modelzone. Guildford, Peterborough, Silverburn, Sunderland and Trafford stores have already gone. Ten stores closing over the next couple of weeks are: 10th Aug - Hull, Leicester, Doncaster, Bluewater, Cardiff 13th Aug - Romford, Ipswich, Meadowhall, Leeds, Swansea Supposedly there've been no offers to take over the business as an ongoing concern, so it's possible there will be more closures. And they've sold Amerang to Ripmax. So you should still be able to buy overpriced Japanese kits. |

The Deansgate store is like Doncaster, it was an independent before being taken over by MZ and both are still managed by the original staff so it's no real surprise that both are looking at reopening after a short break. Cheers, Warren |
