In fact it's such an old 'friend' I doubt I need the instructions! It'll be built as a Malta based target tug, so will indeed feature red, white and blue. And silver, black, yellow, dayglo, and 9 miles of masking tape...

A nice kit, I had a pre-production kit from Maurice Landi via my club , no instructions or decals and it made up very well.

I attempted this kit a while back and never finished it. The wanting a Meteor in the collection I tried the old Airfix one. I finally managed to complete an Xtrakit one for the Grey & Green GB.

I must have built this kit 5 or 6 times by now! But never noticed this:

Anyone know where "Enland" is?!
The fuselage is the usual Matchbox fit

Now with the 'birdcage' cockpit canopy top fitted

Cockpit done, no radar for the backseater on a target tug

When I was given this kit (see my post above) I told Maurice about the spelling error and was told that if there wasn't anything desperately wrong with the kit they wouldn't correct it even though they were aware because of the cost so it stayed like it. I had long forgotten about this until reminded about it above.

Cracking tale OF!
The Meatbox fuselage has now had a coat of white primer. After a quick sand I'm hoping it will help the yellow to cover better.

The designers have taken on board your concerns Mark, and procured some larger ones in a fetching shade of yellow!

The fuselage is pretty much done now :)

Next job will be to raid the spares stash for a Victor HDU to cut down and make into the target towing winch thingy...

Coming along very nicely and now looks like the Meatbox that I had an air experience flight in when with the ATC.

Cheers chaps! OF I'm not jealous, noooo....!
Not a lot to report this weekend, seriously busy times. Got the decals on the fuselage though

And the wings painted.

Got the Meteor past the finishing line over the weekend. Here she is assembled

I made a winch pod thingummy for the starboard wing
Posted Image
And fitted it
Posted Image
And painted it after it was fitted, seeing as if I'd painted it first I'd still be waiting for it to go off enough to handle and fit to the jet!

A bit of tidying and it was done. Finished pics in the gallery :)
