Well done mate. :cool

I think a satin/matt finish would have looked better, but it's your build sir. :D

I hadn't realised that I hadn't said on here. For some reason the matt that I tried to spray wouldn't spray matt (no it doesn't say gloss on the bottle before anyone says it!) I'm ordering a replacement needle/nozzle set for my Iwata so when that gets here and if I can get the matt coat right, i'll matt it down. I wasn't going to do that before the deadline so i've called it a day and left it as a very factory fresh, polished example. I couldn't even find my black pastel to do the exhaust stains

Not wanting to take the topic away from a great build but what matt did you use?

Its just I wouldnt have thought a nozzle would affect the finish either way. Or is this something else Ive missed

I use vallejo matt and it dries matt almost instantly on contact with the surface.

Sorry my fault for how I wrote that. The original needle cap for the Iwata broke and i've got a cheap Chinese knock off fitted to it that's making it spit everywhere, so once the replacement gets here i'll give it another try. Sorry should have explained a bit more

I used the Humbrol Matt Coat. I tried it neat and it was too thick so added some Tamiya thinner to get it to spray and it wouldn't go matt. I called it quits rather than try and battle with it and potentially ruin the build.
