Inspired by Mark's beautiful Husky let's have a pet show. :D

Here's some of the critters that let me share their home. :)

When I had my heart attack eight years ago it was decided that we should have a dog to make sure I got some exercise. Luckily the dog is lazier than I am. :smiley-laughing: This is Marshall, a combination of Labrador, Alsation, Akita and Staffie. He's a stupid as a sack full of monkeys but he's a great dog.

A few years ago we adopted a Border Collie while we were on holiday. An affectionate little thing that's had a pretty hard life but she's very happy now. This is Honey.

We have a Cockatiel with a really bad attitude and three tanks full of tropical fish.

This, of course, isn't enough for my Daughter.

Tibbles the rabbit.

She has had a wide variety of small rodents. So here's the cute section.

At the present moment my daughter has three hamsters, three mice and two Gerbils that she inherited from my Mum. My wife has four mice and the most recent addition is a pair of Guinea Pigs (no pictures of them yet, they're still too scared.)

in April my partners cat passed away aged 20, my partner had had her since she was a kitten. ive never been a cat person, as im allergic and ive always been a dog person but Tiff cured me of my allergy and stole her way into my heart

it just wasnt the same not having a furry critter about the place so we decided to get another about 5 weeks ago. we didnt want a kitten and decided to get a rescue cat, as we wanted to give one another chance at life

we ended up with this little lady and called her Willow, shes about 15 months old

the story is her original owners moved and simply left her behind, when the new people moved in they found her, fed and looked after her for a week or so thinking the original owners would come back for her. when they didnt they took her to a local Cats Protection place as they couldnt take her permanantly

we took her cos she was so nervous and timid but we could see her potential. sje is very timid, a total scaredy cat, jumps at her own shadow

we were told her original owner had kids and i think that she was mishandled rather than abused......dosnt like being picked up, tail touched or loud noises/movements

she has already made great progress and is proving to be quite loving, every day she gets a little braver

noticed the other day her fur spells 'S'.........would have called her a name with s if we had noticed before,...........im thinking of making her a red cape as in 'SuperKitty' lol

Aha, a Tortie, we have one of those from a rescue, Mrs Angry aka Trinity:

She is an excellent mouser, but the problem now is expanding girth. We keep a strict control on food in the house, but she must be getting feeds elsewhere. Mrs PB has two pedigree Norwegian Forest cats:

They are siblings but not from the same litter, the one on the right, Gus, came to us first, his sister Dandi, perched on the platform came later. They are hopelessly pampered and not allowed to roam, although they have big cage where they hang out during the day time.

Oh god no! :dead

And there's me thinking you lot (although mentally unstable) were at
least men!

I love cats, I must admit, as they really do test your accuracy when throwing something at them! :whistle

However, the 'animals' shown don't appear to be the type that use other peoples flower beds for toilets, unlike the two buggers next door!

Over the years I have tried to make the garden a bit more bird friendly, introducing a beach hedge and other cover so they can feed and breed.

Then a couple moved in next door last October bringing with them three cats (one has died)! Whilst having a chat with the chap I mentioned that I am not a lover of cats or dogs and have none. Consequently, if I have no animals of my own, there should be none in my garden. I'm not very good at the art of the 'Ice Breaker'!

I think I have now successfully impressed upon the two remaining cats that my garden is not a safe place as they realise that the miserable sod who owns it can hear their bells from anywhere in the house and he will come out faster than some will give him credit!

Just for the record, I had nothing to do with the death of the other cat they had.

This is D.J the Cat, he will do anything for a stroke and belly rub.
He spends most of the day guarding the garden boundaries against wondering cats, he also likes to check out the model kit instructions whilst i build.

I have found over the years that a hose on full jet does deter the moggies without injury.

This is our brick outhouse, he scares most dogs, all other cats but drinks out of the same birdbath as a blackbird who's having a bath while he's drinking,
