Looking at the leading edge at the joint compared to the port side it seems to have a kink so is there anything physically blocking it from going all the way in?

no its just a pants fit, ive had a play dry fitting the 'other' wings and it fits well so it must the special 47 wing, im at work today so cant do much but ill try and brace it tommrow

You must have got a duffer, the one I built a few years ago was fine. I wonder what the one in the stash is like though...?

i think ive found the problem

the fuslerlarge is too narrow, ive tried to test fit the bottom of the nose and its too wide by about 2mm, which matches the gap in the wing

so ive upened up the fuserlarge again braced it outwards and re glued (but not the bottom of the nose) , now with a bit of CA im gluing the wings to the upper edges

i think ill have to leave a gap under the nose but when the bottom cowling is on it wont show
