As I was at a loose end this morning and needed something to do while I was waiting to get to the shop for the paint for the Sea Fury I thought I'd make a start on this.

I was going to leave the Mustang to Mosquito but he seems to still be questing for the lost mojo.

Hope to start glueing soon. :D

Not quite. My Daughter is home from Uni this weekend and she got me Iron Man 3 for my birthday...it seemed only polite to sit and watch it.

I'm making the same kit, but will be using FF-736 from the Italeri decals. :cool

Have you decided what prop blades are the right ones for the Yank bird? Cuffed or paddle type?

Alan

PS The Iron Man films are ace. :cool

Not yet. That's always the last thing I put on so I've got plenty of time yet. :D

A bit of progress over the weekend.

Sadly, the fight to get the wing in place (a very snug fit :D ) caused the fuselage sides to have a bit of a falling out. A tube or two of filler should sort it.

As we are building the same a/c just in slightly different liveries, I'm looking forward to seeing the paint and decals mate. :cool

The silver went on this morning.

I have a slight problem with a bent undercarriage leg, this could prove to be a little interesting. :D

That U/C bend shouldn't be too difficult to straighten without breaking, if it does drill into both pieces and insert a dressmaker's pin or a length of stiff wire.
