Had these on the go for a while - there's an awful lot to do even yet since the diorama will be fairly densely packed, but here's some work for the people at Hammerite to get on with...

That is impressively realistic looking rust. It's something I've never mastered!

Can't claim any particular skill for it - it's actually real rust!

It's an exceptionally fine iron powder which is then mixed into a medium which promotes the powder to rust on the model. I've had the stuff for years but have only just got round to using it. The website doesn't do the stuff justice in my opinion.

I thought the reason it was taking so long mate was so the elements could get to it for a while.

Bit more progress. The models themselves are essentially complete barring some final rust on the inside of the tracks when the models are bedded down into the diorama. The engine inside the Tractor is an aftermarket resincast kit which you can find here:-

They're both nice kits but I'm absolutely not going to claim credit for the rust effect. It's all down to the material I've linked to. Thus far I'm a two-week veteran of using the stuff and the results speak for themselves.

Final pic shows the diorama setting I'm working towards.

You need to take some credit for the effect mate. There is a skill tousing these items and that's where you need to take credit. :D :cool
