Thought I would have a go at this next. Bought second hand for £15 including after market decals! All parts present and correct so I'm told.

It's going to be out of the box, but I'll be doing the yellow nosed marking option on the additional sheet (heavily weathered . . . . no surprise there)

It was posted to me in a shoe box, too small for the fuselage halves so the first job has been to re attach the engine bearers which were snapped off in transit, the joints drilled and reinforced with brass rod. Next sorting through all the loose parts for the interior bits to make a start on the pit.

WOW! That is going to be a LARGE model. There should be lots of room for a bunch of detail. :D

A mass of white plastic!

All the interior cockpit parts assembled, the only additions are some straps on the ammo drums and seat harnesses. The kit parts look detailed enough to create the right impression, even in 1/24th.

The whole lot was sprayed 02 Grey and various panels picked out in black, grey and silver (pretty much a random selection as I don't have any references). The whole thing was then treated to some dry brushing and coloured wash to give his:

The kit instrument panel came out quite well too . . .

Next the engine which will be built with a view to having it visible.

The engine is done and the fuselage buttoned up All the detail here is as supplied in the box . . . which is nice. I'm going to fix the side cowl panels in place but have top (and bottom if possible) removable.
