With all the fuss over the Big Announcement, this seems to have passed many folks by, but the Lightning sprues were on view and it looks delicious:

This looks palpably more like a Lightning than any other Lightning kit that I've previously seen. Before anybody asks, the word is that they have no plans to do an F1/3, so you'll have to bodge around with the Trumpy kit, unless they change their minds. The kit is marketed as an F2a, but obviously it would be a simple job to build an F6 from it. You could do the tweaks yourself or wait for Airfix to do it for you. It's expected to be available in 4-6 weeks.

That wouldn't be a fabric wing Hurricane behind, would it?

I've got the Hurricane kit, I'll be posting an 'in-box' review later.

I believe I could be tempted into a Lightning.

I'm far more interested in this than the 1/24 Typhoon.

Now I'm interested! Much better than a humungous Tiffie. Don't suppose there was anything else tucked away??

Funnily enough, this doesn't interest me as it's too small. I can't be dealing with all those tiny 1/72 parts.
