After gloss coating it I was then to give it an oil wash but then I remembered seeing some videos on Youtube saying that they spray hairspray over the model before the wash as a good sealer, so I thought i'd do that with this build. Well you can see the result... Not to worry though because this Pug was to be heavily weathered so it actually helped for the final finish in a way. I gave it a good few coats of thick black oil wash and then using chalk pastels (which is why the brown is a little odd) went to town over the kit.

Henry was a Black 5 with a bizarre tender, I don't have one of them but boy do I wish someone did a kit of a Black 5. I did come across a site which had which type of locomotive each character was based on but I can't find it atm.

All I remember is Gordon is the same class as the Flying Scotsman...

The flash has made the brown chalk look pinker than it is in reality. I'm probably going to give it a light dusting of a grey dust on the lower parts when I can find something good to apply it with. Once i've decided on the ballast for the base i'll be putting it on i'll match the colours in with that.

Get yourself a ladies make up dusting brush they work wonders.
