While I await the `right` colour grey rattle can spray for the F-86/FJ-3 Fury build, I started thinking about my next little side project which will delve into the realms of diorama in prep for the diorama GB.

A little bit what if`ish as well for those of you who like to see those kind of things.

Here`s some of the main contributors for the build. This is from the Lightning F.6 kit I converted into the T.5.

Nearly mate...... :D

A couple more pictures, one showing over items to be used with a final picture showing my concept which will pretty much given the game away and means I may have to change the title thread from `tc`s build of mystery` to `tc`s build of..., uh huh!`

Don`t worry these items are from the kids train set they destroyed some time ago.

and now for the picture that gives it away....................

Got it!, you're modeling a man in a new style of loco who's just found the cocktail stick the previous driver left for the relief of constipation.

So todays bit of work consisted of amputations and making the test dummy look like it is actually suffering from the effects of a high speed ejection. I`ve off set the limbs and head slightly to add to the illusion. Just need to wait for it to dry solid so that I can add a bit of filler in the right places to hide any gaps.

Builder of aircraft, any scale from 1:1 to 1:144!
Wot Mark said! Bear in mind the dummy would be rigged as a pilot who'd just pulled the seat pan handle.
Cracking idea though, I thought I had some odd ideas!

Not always mate. Sometimes they needed to test the flailing arms aspect of ejections. ;)

Not quite mate, family first at the moment. However......,

Managed to get a few photos taken today of progress I`ve achieved over the last few days.

Dummy pilot is now looking a bit more pilot`ish but still plenty to be done on him later......

Completed painting one bit of track, still need to get it weathered but you get the idea.

Started scratchbuilding one of the dollies(?), pretty sure the middle section is the fuselage floor from an Osprey(???). Anyway, it works and thats the main thing.

And the last picture is a mock up of the cockpit section on the track....

Plenty to do still but I think it`s slowly getting there.

An excellent idea that I've never seen modelled before!

You can get away without arm restraints as the MB Mk4 series seat was fitted with them.

There are some good videos out there including on this site;

Thanks guys and cheers for the link Nigel. :cool

Got both tracks painted, still need to weather them though.

Second dolly/sledge base is done, just need to build it up with the JATO rockets and I added some frame work to the first sledge to hold the cockpit in place.
