This story is a few weeks old now Shaun. IIRC..., RIAT have confirmed that this incident will not effect `Dave` from turning up. Edited by tc2324, Jul 9 2014, 12:17 PM.

Term was taken from the the sit com `Only Fools and Horses`. (When Trigger keeps calling Rodney Dave) This was when the name of the F-35 had not been confirmed and someone suggested Dave and it stuck. |

There`s talk of the Marines flying in their F-35`s if the RAF examples can`t make it. Of course this all depends if they get the paperwork cleared with UK authorities to display. |

Latest from Reuters... "Lockheed‘s F-35 program manager Lorraine Martin told reporters that the planes would miss the first day of the Royal International Air Tattoo air show, but could still arrive in time to fly at the event, which continues through July 12. She said Lockheed had spare parts on hand at the air field in case they were needed." Still not `confirmed`, but sounds a little more promising. |

Theres now an official announcement from RIAT saying they won't be there. Doesn't really bother me, Although it does start the vulcan moaners off again saying 'a space has opened up so why can't the vulcan take it'. |
