Airfix 1:72 Supermarine Spitfire F Mk.22
PK553 No 607 (County of Durham) Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force.
RAF Ouston, England 1948.

Here’s my rendition of the great little F Mk 22 Spitfire from Airfix, brush Painted in the normal markings rather than the Cooper Trophy of 1948 option. Unusually for me I tried to apply a pin wash.

I chose this finish to go alongside a picture which has been hanging on my wall for close on 30 years now, nice that Airfix could eventually produce a kit in the markings I have been waiting on since then.

The fit of the kit was exemplary and would recommend it to anyone,

I didnt read the bit that said what scale it was so until I saw the hand I thought it was 1/48.

That is a cracking build and not a normal Mk that people seem to build  :cool
