Inspired by some of the 'speed' builds on here I thought I would have a go. This is the result of about 10 days work, about as quick as it's going to get for me!. Xtracolor enamels were used which need 24 hours between colours which doesn't help. Academy 1/72 kit.

Nicely done without being too "over the top" with weathering and panel lines. What's the kit and scale?

It's the Acadmy 1/72 kit, very nicely detailed for the scale.

I'd struggle to mask and paint a canopy that well in 1/72!*

* I could struggle in other scales too... :redface

Another cracking job Simon.

I use lacquer thinners in my enamels including Xtracolor (I hate the US spelling) and this speeds up the drying time by a tremndous amount. Bearing in mind that I brush paint I can even second coat in less than 12 hours. Just a thought.

Thank you chaps.

Mark, the camouflage colours were masked out using blu-tack sausages in filled with masking tape, canopy frames were done with clear sellotape cut in situ to expose the frames (the moulded lines were too subtle to show through masking take!)

Del, I always add a few drops of Rustins Dryers to enamels. Xtracolor can be touch dry in under an hour using this stuff but I wouldn't want to risk sticking masking tape on it till next day.

I've not heard of this Simon so will visit my ironmonger and buy a bottle as it may be less toxic/smellie than lacquer thinners so thanks for the tip. I don't normally mask until the next day anyway, not that I mask a lot.
