I agree! Luftwaffe colours are a minefield and best left alone, lol. |

Unless you were there at the time with colour film (be lucky) then theres no telling what colours they used. Thats the problem with these as most examples are not the original colour and are usually glossed to protect them and make them look 'nice' Its the same with 361st fg mustangs, theres a debate about the blue on top. Some say they were green and otheres say they were blue but I have an eye witness (my step father) who lived in bottisham at the time and says there were no blue mustangs. Definitely yellow noses but they were green on top. |

The other problem, especially with WW2 Luftwaffe colours is that there are very few, if any colour swatches left and as you point out, most museum aircraft have been repainted several times over the years. Colour photos don't really help much either as the pigmants of the film were different then and of coures on top of that we have aging. If you want to stir up a hornets nest, ask WW2 Luftwaffe "experts" about RLM02......It can be anything from a light leafy green to a dark grey! |

Nice model take vehicles the US never had the same green because it differed by shade depending on who manufactured it and where same with planes |
