A great fitting kit and fun build. I’ve always thought the paint scheme was eye catching so I just had to build one, Painted with Model Master and Gunze Aqueous paints and Testor’s Dull Coat, the kit decals worked fine but I elected to mask and paint the pin stripes in stead of using the kit supplied stripe decals. The only after market added are Eduard seat belts, and stretch spru for the antenna wire.

That is a very nice build mate. :cool

Lovely work on the camo and splotches and those pin stripes are awesome.

Like a fool I thought your aerial had broke, then realised that it would look like that as the canopy is pushed back, nice touch.

Well done.

Beautiful job but why the red underneath, is it significant for some reason?

The four known Doras of JV44 (three D-9s and one D-11) were responsible for protecting Me.262 jets from marauding Allied fighters during takeoff and landing. These Doras were flamboyantly marked with red and white stripes on their undersides to reduce the risk of being shot down by friendly ground fire.

Very nice job!!

I've done a Ta 152H (Italeri, ex-Dragon) and am in the middle of a 190A (revel Mistel...again, ex Dragon)
The A is a terrible kit fit-wise, so I think when I do a Dora, it will be something like this, a Tamiya one!

Thanks for the info, just goes to prove that nobody is too old to learn new things.
