A post on Face book brought back some good memories from my child hood

It looks like they are re issuing the commando picture books. The price has been hiked up to £2 compared to the 30p I paid when I was 10 27 years ago.

But none the less I had to see if anyone else remembers these and like me even still has them

Heres mine 'garage fresh' and now in a nice dry living room ready to move into a new home.

Yep, loved Commando and Battle.

In fact, do you remember Charlies War? That has been released as stand alone hard backs and I have bought each edition released.

I was way too old for these, at least I was in 1987.

I've got quite a pile of them, plus a digital subscription. Got a bigger stack on the computer than I have in the cupboard.

They were hard to get hold of for a while but most WH Smiths have been holding them for a few years now.

I sold a box full at a boot sale nearly 20 years ago to a bloke.
A few years later I went to work at Heathrow. A new person that started there about the same time as me was into them, we got talking and it was him I sold them to.
