Afternoon all, I've had this one in my stash for a few years now which I picked up from ebay for £12 from Northern Ireland. I wanted an A version rather than the later. The model itself had been started but I pulled it apart to start afresh. I used my reference books which proved invaluable and helped me correct the errors. I used a quick boost seat and front FOD guards and I had to purchase some decals as the original 1990 ones were shot. I scratch built the upper FOD guards from plasticard but I'm not 100% happy with the top angle but if I constrcted them to be totally flat then the sidewalls would be way out of scale. I won't bore anybody with the changes I made but ther were a few. I painted it by mixing those Revell blue pots rather than buy dedicated paints and I've gone for the worn look applying a very watery splash of light grey and the picked out the panels with a dirty wash. The exhaust cans are done with alclad and then weathered with pastels. Static whips are toothbrush hairs, wheels have been ironed. The canopy cover is paper mâché with tamiya tape. The rockets pods were a kind donation from Shaunb. I'm not particularly good at photography and I have even less interest!.

You may notice the port wing is slightly bent and no amount of heat could straighten it. The RBF tags are all home made all taken from the Reference books.

Hope you like it

I like it! But have to agree with Shaun that Blue background gives me eye strain.

I've always put my photos on with this cloth as I informed it was a neutral colour back ground, plus you don't want to see my garden. 'Twas funny as my wife was holding the cloth and the gentle breeze kept lifting the cloth!

I wasn't having a dig, but I personally find the background detracts the detail from the build.

Where I should see nice crisp detail Im seeing fuzzy lines and blended colour. It may just be my eyes (more than likely) but I find this blue doesn't show it of at its best.

Its like my white sheet which I coludn't be arsed to iron, It just took the attention away from what is an outstanding Mig and I want to see more, especially that canopy cover!!!

Sorry if it was taken the wrong way as most of what I say is.

Steve this is one very, very nice Fulcrum.

Try to use a white or neutral colour background as blue tends to darken the camo colours and draws the eyes away from the subject, just my humble opinion mate.

No mate not taken the wrong way at all. When I came back to the hobby and skills became honed I photographed the models as this was the done thing, but the photos were crap. I was told to put a blue back ground as this goes with anything and your the first to mention that perhaps on a dark camo finish perhaps a white may be more appropriate. I don't get round to doing many camo jets more ETPS or greys so your opinion is actually a valid one :cool
