One of the RAF Voyager fleet (ZZ331) appears to be temporarily grounded, having hit a hangar while being manoeuvred under its own power on the ground in Canada. CANADIAN ACCIDENT REPORT On another web site, someone has reported that the marshaller at the wing tip that hit the hangar tried to signal the turn to stop due to insufficient clearance but the tow chief didn't hear him due to the aircraft engine noise and didn't see his stop signals due to the low sun. The wing hit the hangar about 15 feet in from the tip and caused a gash of around 8x6 inches in the leading edge.

Error down to the Marshaller I'm afraid as the pilot would be relying on PROPER comms, why in hell didn't the Marshaller use a walkie talkie as flags died out with the Dodo. |
