The Audi R8, so called after the racing car that won Le Mans five times, is the first Audi supercar. This mid-engined sports car, with it's unmistakeable design was presented to the public for the first time in September 2006. Like the bodywork, the platform of the all-wheel drive Audi is aluminium.
Driven by a 420bhp, 4.2ltr V8 from the RS4, the R8 can do 0-100Kph in around 4.6 sec and a top speed of 300 kph

From the brochure and on to the kit.

Current Revell cars are in my opinion, pretty good.

The kit comes in the standard end opening box (please Mr Revell...stop this!)

Instructions are typical Revell. No real complaints here.

Parts come bagged up and for ease I have photographed each bag's contents.

Decals are provided for the carbon side scoops and a lot of the trim (and strangely grills?) Many different nationality number plates are provided, including UK, but the dash only comes in LHD....shame.
A nice touch is the mesh grill. Unfortunately, I can't see where it is used as although it is mentioned in the parts layout, complete with templates, it isn't shown in the instructions....

Overall it looks to be another pleasing kit from Revell, and, apart from the lack of RHD and the confusion over the mesh, Should go together well.
Build review to follow.

Edit: Two of the mesh pieces are optional for the side scoops...The third is for the underside intake
