A modelling disaster follows... :redface

Reading in a recent Airfix Model World magazine, a builder used Bare Metal Foil to mask a Blenheim canopy. "I can do that!" I said and proceeded to try it out on the side cabin doors - it won't come off!!!

So although I now post some photos of the model, it's not long for this world and won't be displayed outside the privacy of my house. The plus side is that I can re-use the tanks when it's broken up for scrap.

Apart from my window masking mistake, it's a great kit to work with. The four tank fit isn't seen often but the Blackhawk looks so "right" to me with them on.

Regards,

Nigel

Ah, having used Bare Metal foil for what it was intended for I found it really does stick like sxxx to a blanket once rubbed down and is excellent for chrome etc. but masking, that is a definite no, no.

Having said that you have a very nice Blackhawk there. You could always remove the doors and fly without them, just a thought.

A real shame to scrap that - Its a beauty.
What about painting the offending windows with gloss black or going with Del's suggestion and remove them completely.
