Revell 1/72 German Engineers![]() ![]() To meet the many different demands made on the German army’s pioneer force in the Second World War, it was necessary to form increasingly specialized task units, such as the landing pioneers, the tank and parachute units. A special mention should also be made of the storm units which operated with the infantry to lead direct attacks on enemy strongholds. The Kit ![]() Well not a lot to say really the box includes 40, 1 boat and several extras, ie planks etc The instructions.... Well there arnt none you just get a paint guide on the rear of the box ![]() The Plastic... Well im sad to say its horrible, its a green rubber like substance that appears oily and greasy, im guessing some is the release agent, so id give these a very good wash before trying to paint them ![]() ![]() ![]() In Conclusion I have no doubt that with time and effort these could be made into a half decent diorama, but my initial inspection, leads me to feel very disappointed A miss i think this time Revell model kits are available from all good toy and model retailers. Why do they insist on continuing to mould figures out of this awful soft PVC type material? It's fine for a 8 year old to play with, but no use for proper modeling. |

Something is tickling the back of my mind about a primer designed specifically for this type of material. It may be in an old Finescale Modelling mag from a good few years ago but certainly not in any magazine I've indexed over the years. I have done a web search and came across this which can be used on UPVC and PVC. Bulls Eye® 1-2-3 Plus Primer Sealer Edited by Olde Farte, May 27 2015, 02:41 PM.
