Revell 1/72 SpPz2 Luchs![]() ![]() The Spaehpanzer 2 Luchs that has been used by German army tank reconnaissance units since 1975 is well armoured, has an on-board NBC system and is characterized by extremely quiet running. As armament it has an RH 202 20 mm cannon. The Kit ![]() This is a re-release of the 2000 kit of a very german armoured Vehicle, it follows Germanys tradition of fast lightly armoured vehicles. There is a wealth of green plastic and high amounts of detail for a kit of this size - Filigree surface structures - Rotary turret - Detailed wheels with authentic tread profile - Hatches optionally open or closed - MG mount with detailed machine gun - Detailed tool simulation The instructions.... These are the normal Revell booklet style with 17 pages covering the 45 steps of the build, the Paints are in Revell callouts only and some require mixing. You cant really go wrong the steps are simple enough tot follow ![]() ![]() The decals These are very clean and crisp and in perfect register with minimal excess on each decal Markings are for: - 3./Gebirgspanzeraufklärungsbataillon, Freyung, 1993 - 4./Panzeraufklärungsbataillon 5, Sontra, 1992 ![]() The Plastic ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In Conclusion This is a nice re-release of a AFV, there is plenty of detail to make a stunning display, it is however rated as a level 5 kit (very challenging) however this should be more of a level 3. Not one for a beginner but one for anyone with a bit of experience filling and sanding! Revell model kits are available from all good toy and model retailers.
