For any members on the route to Buckingham Palace, 5 Spitfires, 2 Hurricanes and 4 Tiffies are commemorating the Battle of Britain today with a flypast at 11.45.

I`ll be on my office roof.

That's good as they sometimes line up just up the road from me, often see them.

There was some nice footage in a short piece on BBC Breakfast today, broadcast from Coningsby as the aircraft were being made ready. The only "downer" was the reporter stating that the Spitfire & Hurricane were the two types that fought the BoB. As is so often the case, other types don't get a mention.

One statistic that has been repeated on various reports is that there are only six BoB pilots left now.

Taken from my phone on top my office roof in the city so apologies for the quality. Three icons together from that period, Spitfire`s, Hurricane`s and St Paul`s.
