At the beginning of the Russian campaign the Russian T-34 Main Battle Tank came as a shock to German troops. It combined mobility with armour protection and firepower in an almost perfect way. The 1943 model features a 76.2 mm F-34 main armament and 100 rounds of ammunition. Its weight was 31 tonnes and its engine delivered 500 bhp enabling a maximum speed of 55 km/h (33 mph). Between 1940 and 1944 a total of 35,000 T-34/76's were built. The German Wehrmacht could only counter the T-34 after the Panther and Tiger tanks were developed and entered service.

The Kit

This is a reboxing on a ICM tank, this was quite a surprise for me as ICM only released this tank at the beginning ofthe year and for Revell to release it so quickly was a bit of a shock. However having done my research this kit builds in to a very nice iconic tank

- Rotating turret
- Adjustable gun elevation
- Structured surface detail
- Authentic vinyl tracks
- Hatches can be mounted either open or closed

The instructions....

These are the normal Revell booklet style with 16 pages covering the 56 steps of the build, the Paints are in Revell callouts only and some require mixing

In Conclusion

This is a bit of a shock of a release form Revell, however it appears to be a very nice kit of a very iconic tank. Its rated as a skill lever 5 ‘expert’ however there is nothing in this kit and an average modeller cant master with ease
Well done Revell!

Nice review Mark.

I wish my Shilka had vinyl tracks.

So you reckon a bodger like me could do it?

I might have to get one of these. I do like a T34.
