You certainly need a big bench for these kits.

Yes. Sarah's already noticed I have spread out across the next table, which was meant to be for Steampunk stuff....

Been off for a week and, unfortunately, my home intaweb is ridiculously slow (changing provider soon), so I haven't been able to post.
There wasn't a lot to show anyway. I have put the Victor to one side for the moment as I found that, not only are the intakes a terrible fit, with huge gaps, but it seems they are the wrong shape too. So, I am not bothering with them and I will order a set of resin ones after Xmas.

As for the Vulcan....
Really quite surprised how well it actually fits IF you sit and take the time to line things up. Very little filler used, apart from the intakes. Given it a coat of Halfords filler primer to show any areas that need redoing, and filled a few gaps that did occur....

I will be moving the rear crew's windows, as I believe them to be too low...

Also rescribed the NBS radome as it is inaccurately depicted on the kit...

Modelling has taken a back seat again due to Christmas so progress is slow.

It's been mainly sanding and priming, with a little filling added into the mix....

The intakes are coming on nicely, if very slowly.....

Overall, it is taking shape (I just hope that shape is Vulcan shape..... :whistle )

That's looking really nice.

Even though I'll never have the room to display it I'm going to have to make a Vulcan on day.

The rescribing looks brilliant and work so far is very good.

Over Xmas I have been without access to an internet capable computer. Work has gone slowly on the V-bombers, mainly due to the pain in the ass nature of the kits....
I have moved on to starting the Valiant now.
The Vulcan is in the shed receiving it's first few white primer coats, so no photos as yet.
The Valiant is going together fairly well. For those that have made it, isn't it confusing, all those options? I made the mistake of fitting the wrong bomb bay ceiling for the atomic bomber, but I think I can get away with it.

The Vulcan has had it's first coat of appliance white.

And the Valiant has gained it's wings.

Surprisingly, I have had to do almost as much fillering on the Valiant as I did the Vulcan. That may be down to my bad attempts at fitting the resin intakes though....

Very slow progress here, due to the weather and other projects.

I did some masking and painting on the Vulcan last night. Took forever for a few small aerials.
