Cheers. Been in a holding pattern for a while, due to various circumstances. Hope to get back onto them soon...

Finally got the Victor upgrade set from Flightpath, so I thought I'd better get on with it....

Here's the resin and the wing, awaiting hacking...

You can see the difference in the intake shape

I needed to do a fair bit of sanding to get them to fit properly

Posted Image

I thought I'd taken more pictures of the modification process. Needless to say, it was a case of trial and thankfully, no error, to get the wings cut correctly

Before fitting, I added the guide vanes. A total PITA job, as some were too big and some too small, and none were really shown sufficiently well on the instructions as to how they fit.
Once in, I sprayed the whole thing white and added the kit engine faces.

New intakes, although a bugger to fit, make all the difference so well worth the aggro.

I hope so. You can't see in that last pic, but the join of the vanes is awful...

I've never tried to do this sort of work. The wing looks really good as does the rest.

I seem to get myself into these situations. Becomes a steep learning curve....

Those intakes look much better than the kit ones. They look a lot more like the ones I have spent far too many Sundays clambering in and out of...

The Valiant at last got it's coat of anti-flash white (also known as Halfords Appliance White)

I have fitted the new intakes to the Victor wings and went to attach them to the fuselage.

One side was "perfect"

Posted Image

The other I think I must have mis-measured. It's going to take a fair bit of fettling, I think...

Both look good, shame about the Victor wing fit though.
